Last night was our memorable night, the Visayan Ethnocultural Organization was born. It’s an induction of officers and a dinner party after held at Guelph place banquet hall at 492 Michener Road. I am one of the officers, an assistant secretary. The affair was started at 6pm with an opening remarks by Melody Zapanta Johnson. Next is the introduction of Mayor Karen Farbridge by Noel Tibudan. O Canada and Lupang hinirang as the National Anthems sang by Melinda Lyons. The prayer for the meals was given by Galileo Zamora. The dinner start at 6:30pm with musical number by Melinda Lyons. Then an introduction of legal advisor Connie Parkinson by Gerardo Armenteros. Follows by the most awaited part the INDUCTION OF FOUNDING OFFICERS. Another musical number to be given by Melinda Lyons again. A message from our dear president Eduardo Zapanta. At 8:15pm was our closing remarks and a dance party. There was also late night snacks served and more door prizes. Raffles of 50/50 draw winners and the party ends at 1am.
